Did I mention that our home-schooling group goes skiing six times in the winter? We hadn't done it before because it was too expensive, but I got a job so parents are only paying for Dad and my seven year-old brother. I was really, really excited because I had heard so much about it, but when I finally got out there with these huge things attached to my feet, I was angry at myself for even thinking I could do it! They started out with lessons and I improved a lot from them. Rico, our instructor, was really funny (he told us that all the other instructors were boring and he was the only good one) and he showed us the wrong way and then the right way to do things. Very helpful, I assure you! After the class we all went back the to Main Lodge and ate, because that is always a good thing. Then, we were FREE! During lunch, I got used to being without the skis and then went directly to the Bunny Hill without practicing again. That was stupid. If Sharon hadn't been there, I wouldn't be here to write this! I could hardly get off the lift. Long story short, I went back to the Magic Carpet. After a little more practice on that dwinky little thing, Rico told me to go to the steeper Magic Carpet. Then, I tried the Bunny Hill again and only fell once. It was awesome! :) After we had brought back our rentals and everyone was rounded up, we piled into the Phippen's big van. And guess what! I'm hardly sore! hahaha! I'm so excited about the next ski day!
